Default Can you turn off the Auto Door locks?

When I stop the car, engine still running - and I get out and try to open the rear door, it's locked. I have to push the unlock button to allow the doors to open.

Is it possible to turn this off? I realise it's a security measure but I don't want it.

Yes you can turn it off or on using the centre console display and the wash and wipe stalk, I turned mine on because I prefer it this way, it unlocks the doors when you turn the ignition off which suits me but I suppose not to everybodies liking.

Ok great thanks. I'll give it a try. So exactly where in the menu do you have any idea, and when do I use the wash and wipe stalk to turn it off?

It's covered in the owner's manual under "Multi-purpose Display"

Its under comfort settings.

Not everyone has a manual for these anymore.

Default Thank you.

This full manual is great, thank you very much for it, but for which model and year of Cayenne is it? It is different from my handbook which did not come with my car, but I bought on ebay.

I don't think £89 for a second hand drivers handbook is peanuts.

The £89 remark was meant for Acer54.

I want to disable the auto lock after you unlock the car. I always get paranoid that I may unlock the car, leave the keys in the car only to then have it lock!

That doesn’t appear to be a setting in the comfort menu..

If you mean the 'auto relock' after you unlock the doors, that only happens if you unlock with the remote and don't open a door. Once you open a door, they won't relock.

Much of the activity on this board is from North America, and for those living in this area, there's no excuse for not having a manual as they're easily found on eBay in the $30 range (or free for download). You paid the equivalent of $115 which is probably fair for your area...and still technically peanuts when it comes to anything with the Porsche name attached to it.

It's next to impossible to lock your keys inside a Porsche. As Joe said, it'll only relock if you don't open a door.
Also you can't lock the car by pushing the lock button on your door when getting out...push it and nothing will happen. Once you close the door, you have to use your key in the outside lock or the remote keyfob.
Even my 928 has to be locked from the outside with the key.
