Default 2008 Cayanne Stuttering - what could this be?

I have just bought a 2008 Cayanne S - only has 100km / 60k miles on the clock. Has been doing great but now it has started of stuttering. When sitting in traffic there is a very slight jolt from the engine where it sort of judders every once in a while. This also happens accelerating somtimes.

JKust wondering if this is c common issue or can anyone suggest what it might be?
Thanks.

Change coils & plugs. All of them.
If it keeps doing, change the engine mounts.
If it keeps doing, check out the scored cylinders thread.

Concur. I had the same symptom in mine (and worse), changed out the coils and it cleared. And that is the cheapest and easiest place to start.

Quote from the Saab moderator when I owned a 9-3 Aero: "I'm not saying it's the coils, but it's the coils." Saabs ate coils for lunch. The fix was AutoZone coils with a lifetime warranty and were proper Mitsubishi OEM in a Duralast box.

Great How-To if you are so inclined: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2NxJA2ovf4

Bremi vs Porsche vs Beru... IDK you be the judge. FCP Lifetime Warranty!

Also do the plugs while you are there... IMO switch to Iridium which should be good for 100k (in normal cars, Porsche is weird on their plug intervals)

Mine does a similar thing, intermittently ...I have a CEL, also intermittent, pulled the codes, and it’s the High pressure fuel pump.

Any CEL?

Thanks guys - I brought it to an independent specialist and typical it was not happening so he was unable to identify the problem exactly - but as you say he suggested the coils. He said there were a few faults but nothing specific to the cols so he reset them and said drive for a week and come back to him. He said my oil separator needs replacing and I probably need a major service.

He also said my front right show looked low - might have a leak so I'll have to replace them both. That wont be cheap!

Most likely coils or plugs. But if it isn't, another thing to check is the wiring harness under the driver side left foot (left drive). I'm unsure if it was fixed in the 2008s but my 2006 behaved as you describe before failing completely and it was a signal wire inside that harness where the connection broke. After getting in there and inspecting the wires it was easy to find and repair. I might advise against using solder as I think the solder will hasten future oxidation on that wire and you'll be back in there again. Use a good electrical connector. The symptoms will likely be general misfire and random cylinder misfires among other ignition codes. Unlike a bad coil where the missfire is attributed to specific cylinders consistently, this issue causes more random codes. A little searching in this forum will get you a lot more details.
