Playing in the snow
I really haven't spent much time until now throwing the Cayenne around in the snow. With PSM nanny off, this car is very drivable by throttle. My son found it very fun to power slide around islands in the parking lots, drive lanes and hold the *** end out with the loud pedal. You can also do very nice donuts even with Blizzaks with the PSM off.
So not only very capable in the snow but a real blast. Does creep a but above 180 after hammering on it for a while at low speeds but I'd expect that.
Saw a kid in a Honda CRV trying to do what I was doing (turned out to be neighbor kid). He asked why he couldn't do that. I said, you can, in reverse...
Just sharing what you all probably know.

^^ Harsh. Thought the purpose of a forum was to support one another and not tear people down. As a wise person once said, If you have nothing nice to say, then keep it to yourself.

I rarely instruct anymore. But I have done so for many years. Life has gotten in the way of my hobby but I do still Spec Miata race on occasion. That being said....I told my first time students “if you don’t get into the ABS today either I have failed you as an instructor or you don’t belong out here”. That’s #1 in my book as it applies greatly in real world driving..threshold braking. If I had an ambitious Student that had some talent and the track run off area permitted....I expected them to learn to turn in with the wheel and then set the yaw utilizing g throttle inputs.
I lost my love of instructing as the events became much more a “bucket list” thing with folks that really don’t love driving and show up in modern cars that are way too fast. (A zr1 vette had my helmet bouncing off the headrest at 140mph when he grabbed the next gear!).
That video just kind of took me back to that feeling. There....now I feel better.
