Wiring harness, as I recall there is a short pigtail that can be replaced that goes into the headlamp assembly. The insulation deteriorates over time.

It's a simple repair, the only thing to watch out for is to not break the tabs that hold the connectors in place on the headlamp side, it can make the connection difficult when you reinsert the headlamp unit. Good luck, and I am going off memory from many years ago.

This brings back memories working on my 04 and 05.

If it's not wiring related, Porsches will sometimes throw an error code for headlight issues and if they persist long enough, the bulb controller will actually shut down power to the failed circuit. A 10 minute battery disconnect sometimes resets it or you might need a scan tool to clear errors in all the modules for it to fire back up again.

Didn't say whether what year. Do you have Xenon lights? If so try switching the ballasts from the passenger side to the driver side and see if the light comes on as it could be a faulty ballast.

I'm in the middle of replacing mine. I also decided to replace all the bulbs while the lights are out. IIRC, the pigtails were around $40.00.
