Valve Body Questions Please?

Race Car
I didn't use a lift when I replaced my valve body with Revmaxx. I simply jacked up the car at all 4 corners and put it on 4 Esco jackstands. Very stable.
It shifts so nice now. I am not sure why anyone would live with the clunky/hard shifting after doing this. This was one of the first things I tackled after buying my CS any couldn't be happier.

The shop started tearing into it and found that they couldn't overcome the need for specialty tools. They don't work on enough Touaregs or Cayennes to justify the spend on them so they had to decline the job. If I only had rough shifts I would do the swap out with the Revmax valve body too but I need the torque converter seal done so now I'm looking for an independent shop (Prestige wants over $3k for the job.) I'll update the thread as I progress... Joel

Update on my adventures in torque converter seals and the like. I ended up getting the Revmax valve body given that I had a hard shift from 2nd to 3rd and the cost for labor wasn't much higher for a valve body swap with the transmission filter swap. When the (second) shop removed the transmission I learned that the used car lot I bought my car from appears to have put a junk yard transmission in my car. Of course this didn't show up on my PPI nor carfax because you can't see the junk yard writing on the parts until they are out (see pics.) The shop also found a persistent (old and new coolant collecting on the bottom of the rear coolant housing) coolant leak that requires the intake to come off in addition to having the transmission out. Not a good day but I love this car and plan on having it for many more years so I want to get it squared away. I'll update this thread as my adventures continue...

Such a bummer Joel. Sorry to hear about your mishaps including the junk yard tranny! What were your symptoms that led you to replacing the torque converter seal?

Just like you guys, hard shifts between 2nd and 3rd. I only had the shop do the valve body because I was having them do the torque converter seal. Prestige said that the torque converter seal fails if as little as one drop of coolant touches the seal. The shop doesn't believe that the seal is that sensitive nor the coolant that caustic but my concern or this possibility is why I wanted to replace the coolant T's (they could dump coolant onto the outside of the bell housing,) I don't want to pay for that seal to be replaced again.
Ironically, given my fear of the magical $70 a gallon coolant leaking onto the transmission, it turns out that my original coolant housing part at the back of the engine (# 948 106 151 4R) is leaking onto the transmission. This meant that the intake now has to come off (additional labor) so that they can access the other side of it to install the updated part Porsche discussed in a TSB (948 106 151 5) that addresses the design issue. I am okay with this because I want to own this car for many years and know that this type of issue should always be expected when buying a used Porsche. When talking with a friend who is also a Porsche guy about this issue, he reminded me of the saying "there is no more expensive car than a cheap Porsche."
I will update the thread once I have my car back.

I finally had a chance to drive the car a bit with the Revmax valve body and as others have stated the shifting is smoother. 2nd to 3rd would shift hard before (with a cluck sound and a bit of a jerk) but now it is even and smooth. I must say that driving mellow is even nicer now. Driving it hard is more fun as there were a couple of vacuum lines that were broken that the shop found and addressed so the turbo seems to spool harder now. Good luck all...

Greetings... Can someone PLEASE send me the step by step instructions on how to replace the valve body on a 955 CTT? I look all over the website but could not find them. Thank you in advance!
