About to buy 09 GTS - question for owners
I’m about to buy an 09 GTS and have a question on the door sills. My 05 S has the little black door sill rail strips that you catch with your heel breaking the clips... part number 955-559-305-00-01C-OEM
Are these fitted to the 09 GTS? The one I’m looking at doesn’t have them. It just has the little square holes for the clips 955-559-547-00-OEM.
No accident damage and no paint scuffing to suggest they were ever there, but does look a little odd with just the square holes. All pics I’ve looked at don’t show enough of the door opening....

Yes, the rails strips and flimsy clips are still there on the GTS. Chances are high that the previous owner broke the clips and chucked the rails.

I bought one about a month ago. The drivers side trim was in the trunk. I got some clips on line. Took about 5 minute to reinstall it. The clips are not intuitive, put the clip in the diamond shape hole, put the trim piece in place then smack it to seat the clip. The trim piece has a solid piece that when hit drives a spike through and spreads inside the hole to secure it. There are YouTube videos that show you how to do this.

Replaced clips on my 955 - did it slightly differently lol I put the clip in the body first, pushed in the white plunger with screwdriver handle, then pushed on the trim giving it a bump with the heel of my hand. Interesting to see there are different options.

Left mine off, as I keep knocking them, not up to the rough and tumble life my car gets sadly. I can see if you street your car and look after it (dont have kids?) then you can easily replace and they will be fine.
