2006 Cayenne Thermoset Housing
My Cayenne is in the shop with a cracked thermoset housing my indy informed that transmission need to be removed to replace the housing "ouch" is there anything that might need addressed while he has the Transmission out like a new water pump?

Tracy - the Cayenne is the V6? I checked the manual because I knew the V8 one can be easily accessed under the intake plenum, and there it was - for the V6, R&R of the automatic is called for..
Certainly, a new water pump and thermostat would be a good thing. You might ask him about refreshing your transmission fluid.. with the entire unit out of the car it's probably possible to do a very complete change by disconnecting the torque converter and draining it.

Thanks for the reply and I thought the water pump would be a good call, she has 138000 miles on he and as far as I know the water pump has never been done. I have owned it since I think 360000 miles I will ask about the trans fluid as well.
