1Y1 Rear differential lock in addition to central differential lock
Can you have installed a CODE 1Y1 Rear differential lock in addition to central differential lock, in a 2006 Cayenne Turbo S

Three Wheelin'
From the factory my '06 CTTS has the rear lock as an option. It usually came with the Off Road package which in my case is unusual as I don't have the Off Road package. I don't know if the vehicles without if have the wiring harness plug already there or not if you are talking about installing it after the fact?

Not an easy "upgrade." Advanced Offroad package option required LOTS of wiring looms to be installed by dealer, and the tedious PCM coding to go with it. Don't even get me started on the drive hardware...

I am talking with ARB on a locker solution. Coding needs to happen for the addition of a locker either way. The ABS and PSM need to know that the locker is there and on or off. The systems can not brake one rear wheel only with the locker engaged.

You will bolt it on, do the wiring and controller and voila, it will work. I didn't do it personally and the guys who have done it don't want to share details (and I don't hang out with them a lot so I don't blame them).
1st gen Touareg - q7 - cayenne share a ****load of parts since they were developed together and are made at the same factory using the same parts from the same suppliers.
Do the work, look up the diff ratios, see what you can bolt on where and do it. If I have the time and desire, I'll do it myself.

For that price, I might just buy it and try it to prove it works.
