Default Fuel gauge not showing full after fill-up

I had all 3 fuel pumps replaced while on a trip. Car now runs fine except the fuel gauge shows 3/4 full after fill-up. Stays on 3/4 for 80 to 100 miles then starts to go down. Could one of the new fuel pumps be interfering with the float?

When you say all three I am assuming that you have an 08' up model Cayenne. Either way the mechanic did not route one the hoses correctly and that is what is impeding the float movement. Or, one of the sending units is actually broken or not plugged in. Most likely the former. Time to open her back up. It is important to the function and staging of the in-tank pumps that the engine ecu see's the correct level for in tank pump control.

Are there floats on both side? Are they obvious? I'm thinking of ordering two new gaskets and opening the two underseat compartments and looking for a new obvious problem. Any advice?

Do it when the tank is low... DO not do it with a full tank! I had to drain out 10 gallons, just to get my arms in there, after my pump died right after filling up.

Fuel level floats are on both sides.

Makes sense. I have the pelican parts pics, will I need to pull the pumps to see the floats?

You should be able to see what is touching the floats.
