Default URGENT help Needed 2005 Cayenne S Will Not Crank

Hi all

I am new to Porsche.
I have the above car and today after checking the fuse box in the engine compartment where I pulled the 2 relays and cleaned the pins as there was signs of water, the car will now not start. When I turn the key I here the click at the gear shift so I assume the brake switch is working, there is no other noticable noise, there is nothing.
There are no fault showing with iCarsoft Cr.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance
Charles

Have you checked the wiring harness in the driver's footwell for water damage. Causes all kinds of problems.

Charles - just to clarify - the car started and ran before you pulled and replaced the two relays? I assume nothing significant showing on the dash display?

Hi Don
Yes the car was running okay until I pulled the relays. Green Flag have been out as I had to drive the car, the problem is water damage to the 433 relay socket they have effected a temporary solution with a switch in the drivers foot well so tomorrow I have to try and get the car booked into an auto electrician.
All the wiring under the engine bay fuse box was covered in a green powder.

Green powder is never good. Hopefully they can clean it up. Wonder how it got wet? The seal on the box looks awfully effective to me.. and it's called the "water-box" (as in water can't get into it..) Take a good look at the cover and make sure the gasket is in place.

***UPDATE***

The car has now been in the slowest garage in the world for 2 weeks, The starter, engine bay fuse box and wiring loom has has been changed, but the car will still not start unless power is jumped to pin 85 on relay 433. Pin 85 is connected to a green / White wire which goes to the blue wiring socket which then connects to a brown / violet wire, both of these wires are very light weight. Looking at the limited drawings I have found this brown / violet wire goes to the Driver Identification Control Unit Them 50 LS.

Starting Wiring

Can someone please advise where the Driver Identification Control Unit is located?
What is the purpose of this wire?
Does anyone have any advice as to how to resolve this issue?

Thanks in advance
