Cayenne rear hatch soft close
Hi All,
My 2005 type 955 has developed a problem with the rear hatch door. I opened the car to clean it and the central locking worked as it should but when I locked it up again the rear door soft close didn't work.
So far I have:
Checked the central locking fuse although all passenger/ driver doors lock and I have checked the rear door soft close fuse - all are OK;
Removed the lower locking mechanism and cleaned it (not the grease!) The mechanism doesn't seem to be seized;
When I press on the top latch mechanism, the 'first position' turns the boot lights off but nothing else happens.
Should the lower mechanism do something? If so, how is it controlled?
Any help is appreciated.
