Wet floor
Hi, I have a UK RHD car, and the passenger side carpet (LHS), is soaking wet.
I saw this about the drains, but my plugs seem clear, I pushed in a screw driver and also a metal hanger, all seemed fine.
I then saw this video and removed the wheel arch liners and inspected the grommets.
They seemed ok, and I then reattached the liners and poured water on the edges of the windscreen and water was coming fine through the grommets and falling through the bottom of the wheel arch liners.
So I would like to know what water is meant to flow through the drains in the first video?
Are there any other drains I need to check?
Thanks

I don't have a sunroof, what is the HVAC drain? and also is the water meant to fall directly behind the wheel arch, or should it go through the hole as in the 1st video?

You don't have a sunroof? Like: At all? Or do you mean you don't have a panoramic roof?
The HVAC drain is a drain for the HVAC condenser. In LHD cars it lives under the dash on the passenger side. IIRC: You remove the under dash cover and in the area behind the glove box is a short plastic tube coming from under the dash that fits into a rubber grommet in the firewall.

Be sure to dry out all the wiring under the carpet padding and use a desiccant like rice and then vacuum or you'll be plagued with the dreaded corroded wiring down the road.

Is it under the driver's seat (right side)? Or the passenger's seat (Left side).
The wiring harness bundle that has the 'less than ideal' connections runs to (and from) the battery. So I would suspect that it will be on the 'battery side', whichever side that is in a RHD car.
You get to them by lifting up the seat, as if you were changing the battery (in the owner's manual) and then lifting up the carpet.

In a UK car - the battery is under the passenger seat.
In mine 06 CS when the passenger side had water it was from the front engine bay compartment drains filling with munge and blocking the grommets (now removed).
Had to clear them by removing the wheel liners and poking with a screwdriver - 2 - 3 L water came out.
When the drivers side had water it was from the sunroof drains.
My 06 CTTS doesn't have a sunroof at all. I assume the original owner ordered a sunroof delete when placing their initial factory order.

I cleaned the front drains behind the wheel liners, they were not blocked. Also cleaned the air con drain, it has a bit of gunge but not a lot. Dried carpet, seems okay ATM.
