I too have a non-operational pano roof. Are the pano roof motors the same as the 996/997 sunroof motors? Siemens part 770.60003? /44 revision for Cayenne 955/957 and /37 revision for 996/997. Just starting to getting into troubleshooting my roof. Sunshade will only open/close manually. Pano roof panes will not open/close manually, but when I try the reset sequence, I hear the motors running, but the panes don't move. Other positions of the roof switch dial produce nothing. Was going to start with the sunshade motor and switch since it's the easiest to access.

@Dilberto Great work! Can you tell me more about the re-synching process? Where did you find the info and can you share it? I've tried to look for it but I haven't found out if there is a specific process but mine stops a hair past the most closed point and I'd like to try and re-synch it. Cheers!

IIRC, there is someone here on RL that is printing the plastic gears that ususally fail on these motors. If anyone is interested they can do a little digging and see if they can find the info. Post if you do!

The gears are the same as those used on the Citroen C3. I bought some from a German seller on ebay. Takes 2 weeks to get to the states, but they work.
