Went up to the mountains to see a friend of mine who's living in a remote area in a cabin - there are over 6ft of snow over there. My wife's 957 made it up there and back like a champ. Never even touched the chains.
Over the holiday break I performed the Plastidip and vinyl wrap over the trim, door handles and emblems. Went with a matte black on the Prosecco 05 CTT. I really like the contrast! New Black wheels are coming!
Drove to the desert on Friday morning with some friends to camp until the evening and on the way back the front right tire burst. Since I did not have a proper spare wheel we left the car there with the collapsible on and took the bad wheel home.
The next morning I bought two tires for the front end and got the mobile service to come and fix the blown one, then a friend drove me back to the desert and helped to put the new wheel on, plus the extra in the boot. Then drove straight to the shop for replacement of the front left tire.
Now I've got some wires exposed in the area after the heat melted its insulation and two nice lights for ABS and PSM inoperative. To be repaired soon.
I learned the following:
-Need to get a spare wheel
-The car behaves better than I expected in the dunes with the 20" wheels. Got stuck twice and it was my fault.

The wires you're seeing might be those that go to the wheel speed sensor, used by both the ABS and PSM. As the tire blew it might have taken out the wires.

You're right, those are the affected ones and luckily only the insulation is heat-damaged: just need to re-insulate properly. The faults only triggered when I wrapped them tight with electrical tape to avoid further damage when driving back: this must have make them short each other.
Reached 135000 kms / 83885,111 miles and took the car to the spare shop to buy one oil filter at around 19$ and wiper blades, then reached another shop for two bottles of Ceratec at 52$ and then drove back to the Indy shop for Mobil1 0W40 oil change, 8 liters plus service charge 120$. That makes it a cheap 190$ total in an oil change with the additive.
The poor guy took his time in the whole thing because it was his first Cayenne but I was happy with the service and the price.
I had the radar detector installed previously with the Blend mount and pulled that power from a wire in the overhead console a couple years ago. I don't recall which one - just took my meter and found one that was 12v switched (maybe part of the Homelink setup)
Adding the camera is what took 10 mins as the design of this M1 has you take the radar detector cord, plug it into the camera and then the camera has its own integrated pass-through pigtail to go back to the radar detector. It's the reason I bought this particular camera.
It's small as it does have a screen, but instead connects to an app interface on your phone via Wi-Fi. Here's a better pic.
I put one in the 928 too, which has a Valentine 1 and the power setup works there too.
Spent the morning checking the condition of the coils and spark plugs because I have no records of previous replacements and the idle is a bit rough and feels like misfiring: thankfully the coils are all good - no cracks - and they are all part number revision 021 however the plugs for cylinders 5 and 6 and their wells were wet in what seems to be oil. The valve cover gasket and plugs gasket were replaced last year, there´s no oil consumption and no blue smoke from the exhaust so for now I´ll replace the spark plugs and swap the coils to see if its due to misfiring. and will check them again in a few miles.
While I was there of course I had a look to all the vacuum lines and found the crankcase vent line broken. I temporarily fixed it with tape until the new one comes.
Any thoughts on the spark plugs? Did not remove 1-2-3-4 because I will replace them anyway but there was no oil in the wells like in 5 and 6.
