There are many many threads on this topic many never post a resolution.

I have a 2008 GTS with factory towing option. I borrowed a buddy's trailer last night and got the warning but all the lights DO WORK. I'm just curious if i need to do anything about the warning. I've been reading many horror stories about this issue which is why i am posting.

@tomf - thanks for the link! Did you use the CURT adapter or this one:
I prefer the Tow Ready one only for the form factor but i want something that definitely works.
