Default For those asking about High Mileage

Here is my most recent Blackstone oil report for my 2005 Cayenne S
It would appear these engines can go a long time with no issues.
Check out the oil analysis and the closeups of the cams. Slight score on one but I'm not concerned.

Ideally, you'd like to have Zinc and Phosphorus levels up above 1,000ppm and uo to 1,200 even better, but this looks like a report on Mobil 1 5W/40 where you'll never see those #s and also why you're seeing the viscosity and flashpoint slightly out of range at 5,000 miles. If worried about using a Porsche A40 approved oil, switch to Motul xcess 8100. If not worried about A40, use Joe Gibbs Racing DT40.

Also, add the TAN and TBN analysis to your next report to see how acidic the oil has become, but overall, not bad.

It's the oil that was in there when I got the car. I put in this when I did my oil change.

That's what I used. My local mechanic uses the same in his shop.

Uh, Jeff? You sure you want your address, phone & email on a public forum?

And thanks to all who contributed oil info in this and the rebate thread. I'm switching to Motul or JGR.

Yes, I really don't care. It's in the phone book, on my company website and all over the government servers. I don't have concerns.

Yep. Some scumbag thought they'd steal monies out of my account once. I happen to sit on a board at the bank that handles ALL my money. They called me and asked if I was in Philadelphia at a store and had just purchased $6000 worth of clothing. I said no, I am in my driveway. No problem, we'll put the money back in your account and back charge the store. Never heard another word about it. People have tried to screw me but being known by the actual people in the bank kind of helps. I still have to give my security answers but they even say hi to me by name over the phone before I give them account number.
Thought about lifelock but I have Lois in customer service at the bank instead.
