Help me decide: 2008 CTT or 2009 CTTS?

Guys - need some advice here -

Two choices present themselves - we are actively in the market for a CTT.

One is a 2008, 54k miles, well equipped with maint records, AND the balance of a bumper to bumper warranty until 80k miles.

The other is a 2009 CTT - S, no maint records, great shape, 94k miles. I prefer the CTT-S, better color and a year newer.

BUT - Does the warranty throw the decision over to the 2008?

Need help -

94k mile Porsche without maintenance records is playing the lottery.

Do you feel lucky?

hmmm, that is what I"m thinking as well - low miles, records and warranty may be the smart thing!!

thx

Seems like a no brainer, if costs are similar. Lower mileage, records and a warranty....

"a bumper to bumper warranty until 80k miles"

Usually the warranty expires on a specified date. How much longer?

Will this be a daily driver?

Are you OK with wrenching or have someone close by that can help for beer money?

CTTS no doubt. "Most expensive watch you ever buy is the one that you settled on" rather than the one you wanted. Unlike lottery, losing means getting to know your car better and winning is driving the most exceptional Cayenne built for a decade. Or you can drive just another TT in a worse color.

Something seems up with the 2009 a year ago it was for sale in Santa Fe

CTTS is the best of that generation. 50 more HP, PDCC standard and that's a must have (maybe it was included on the Turbo too - the silver gear shift surround will have a PDCC logo on it) and the touch screen PCM with color screen. I believe 09 was the first year for this.

Here is the advert for the CTTS - is this the same one that was for sale in Santa Fe? Local guy seems legit, but how do you really know? SF Bay Area....

^^ Really nice; would offer to check it out if it wasn't across the bay from me, although given his last sentence, that probably wouldn't fly. In a pinch, I could go check it out though - I am going to Berkeley on Saturday, and would like to try out the CTTS and compare to my CTT.

My money would be that you can get it for a better price as well...I'd be particularly focused on what work he (current owner) has done vs. work that was done before he bought it, if indeed it was 1 year ago.

HI DHC905 - I think he is local to Danville or Alamo and works in San Mateo.....so it might be closer than you think! Would appreciate a learned eye on this thing - red flag about the Navi never working?

^^Interesting; if you ask him if he can show the car on Saturday night, I can swing by there on my way back to Palo Alto from Berkeley. Otherwise, if he brings the car to the peninsula I'd be happy to check it out here.

What is his phone number? Put it into Facebook search.
