You can get a hitch-mount spare holder the Overlanders use...if you have the factory tow ooption.

We have a rear tire mount from Wilco - Hitchgate. They make two styles, one with a side mounted tire and another with a center mounted tire.
We chose the center mount so we mount two 5 gallon Scepter military cans and a trash bag and have the weight distributed evenly.
See the below link for more info

Notice that the mount is recessed into the driver's side rear bumper skin. So, if you wanted to add one (and they do look awesome), you would need more than just the mount itself. Also, they integrate with the car's harness, they remotely unlock and have a sensor to confirm that they're latched, etc. Probably a fairly big deal to add one properly to a car that was not factory-equipped.

Before buying my car, I looked at a Cayenne that had the mount. Besides the fact that it was giving a "spare tire unlatched" error due to a bad switch, it also made the car too long to fit in my garage. Looks great though.

cheers,
c

Wonder if the Porsche OEM tire carrier would accommodate tires other than N rated.
For instance we run Nokian Hakkapeliitta 8s for winter.
This is not an issue for us with our rear mounted tire carrier.

Hello - I noticed that Otis has a pretty cool front end wrap around tube bumper system. Is this custom or is there a company that makes them?
