Oil Leak Rear of '05 CTT

It was Gatorade...

Since the oil blew back along the bottom of the vehicle seeing where it ended isn't a lot of help in diagnosing the source. We need photos of where it begins.

Have you checked the (1) coolant level (2) power-steering fluid level (3) front differential? ANY of those might contain a red colored fluid.

Better questions result in better answers.. Me.

Yes, checked coolant and power steering levels and inspected front diff (realize I left that out of first post). Power steering fluid was my first guess as it was rather low when I bought the car a few months ago, but I drained the reservoir and refilled and it is still full. The fluid does not appear to be coming from any where in the front and the pattern honestly doesn't look like blow back. I pulled the skid plates and crawled around the front and nothing. The furthest forward the fluid reaches is right before the mid exhaust hanger.

The source appears to be literally dripping down from the rear of the fuel tank which is why I am completely perplexed. I am beginning to think I somehow ran over a big bottle of Gatorade or something...

Just tasted it...red Gatorade. I feel completely defeated.
Think this thread can be deleted...

Ah - the desperation test.. bet you ran over a partly filled bottle somewhere.

I'll lock the thread - it should stay around as a lesson to not assume the worse (as is ALWAYS done on the Facebook Cayenne help group.. every noise is ALWAYS a scored cylinder.. sort of like WebMD..)

Glad to hear it was nothing. :jumper:
