Default Boxster Top Sealing Issue when closing

Anyone have this issue of the top not seating right and the internal cord hanging out. Fixed it once, or maybe not. Doing it again.

My 2009 does't seal as well, but the cord isn't hanging out. The PPI pointed out the sealing issue and the Porsche guy mentioned that New Boxster do this as well. He said once the top stretches it will continue to not seal properly. I have had the car only two weeks and leave the top open enough to fit the top into place and finish closing it. A pain, but I only fuss over it during periods of FL thunderstorms.

This is usually a simple problem to solve: there's a piece of elastic that keeps the top tight so it tucks into the frame. When the elastic wears out, the top starts seating itself outside the frame.

Here's a short video I made to show where the Boxster top's elastic fails, and a very easy fix:
