Default Flat Rate Transaxle?

Does anyone know the flat rate to RNR a 2003 Boxster manual trans and dissemble to replace the main shaft? Thanks.

Buddy of mine with AllData (repair and estimating software subscription paid by shops) was looking it up for me (you) but misunderstood and only gave me the R&R time. I didn't want to put him through any more trouble.

6.2 hours.

Anybody else with Mitchell, AllData or Motor books or computer subscriptions could get you the add ons.

I'll check back here in a day or two and if you still have no answer, I'll stop by another shop closer to me and look it up myself for you.

6 to r&r the trans, mainshaft r&r = more than a good used trans cost. Swap it out for a good used one

10-12 hours depending on if the ring and pinion needs to be redone due to a blown bearing.

Thanks for the info. No blown bearings, first gear lost some teeth.

6.3 on the r/r and 12.7 on overhaul. Add .8 for diff. All according to alldata.
