Hi Everyone!

I just bought a used 986 Boxster S (manual) which had a Borla muffler installed.

I want to go back to the stock exhaust and bought a standard OEM muffler on ebay. After removing the Borla muffler I realized that the muffler mounting plate on the back of the manual transmission was removed to install the Borla. Also, the OEM muffler I got on eBay did not have the long cross bracket that connects the two posts on top of the muffler and then onto the transmission back plate.

I was wondering if anyone has those parts left over from swapping their stock exhaust for an after market?!

There are some offers on eBay for the brackets but they seem very steeply priced and the recycling company guy I talked to said that those parts are often scrapped after removing the exhaust for selling.

Try going over to 986forum.com and use the search function for "itsnotanova" - his name is Woody and he runs a Boxster dismantling business in Bostock TX iirc.
He has a good following on the 986 forum - a real strait up guy....

I have a mount plate on a tiptronic, I see the parts katalog shows several different part numbers though. If this one would fit I'll send it to you.

Awesome! I believe the part number is 99611122403, so as long as that number matches it'll work. I'm new to the forum, how can we exchange contact information and work out the details?

Ok, the part number on the tiptronic automatic transmisson version is 996-111-226-02.
