Default What is this button?

Any ideas what this button does/is for? It is in the location for traction control according to the owner's manual. I have turned it on and off and it does not appear to do anything. It's a new to me 2000 Boxster.

OK, that's a 996 Targa Roof Switch.

I bet the prior owner installed it to controll a garage door opener. It's a somewhat common mod, since the icon looks a little like a garage door.

I have that button in my Boxster. It's connected to the innards of a garage door opener behind the dash. Do a internet search to find the details.

I think you need to be a contributing member on Renntech to read it.

If the person used a Homelink transmitter for donor parts, try these instructions:

You won't be able to see the lights unless you take apart the dash, so you will need to use some creativity.
