I have a 1998 Boxster. My top has been working fine until today. I went out and tried to lower the top and the windows went down, but no response when I tried to lower the top. Checked fuse D 3, OK. What else can I check?

No sound that I can hear.

I may have found the problem. The park brake warning light on the dash is not coming on when I pull the handle up ( Brakes works fine). If the sensor is defective, could that stop the top from functioning ?

I was right. I accessed the switch and unplugged it. Then I used a wire to jump it. Park light came on and the top went down.

I ordered a new switch for $6.99 and $9.95 shipping.
