Default CDR-220 won't unlock

Guys-
My battery died a couple weeks ago and the CDR-220 (from an '01 Boxster) is asking for the code. I've input what I'm 99% sure is the code (many times) but it won't unlock.

I had entered the wrong prior a few times and it went into WAIT mode - but like I said I'm 99% sure I have the right code now...

Assuming this is not the 1% scenario (wrong code) - is there something else I can try??

Thanks for any input

You'll need to leave the radio on in the WAIT mode for (I think) 20 minutes before it will clear and allow you to enter the code.

Brandon, if you're not certain of the code, call Stevinson and set an appointment to bring it in. It'll take 20 minutes, and you'll have the correct code. I doubt they would charge anything. I always recommend writing the code on the options sticker in the frunk.

Also if it won't unlock and you're 99% sure you have the correct code, you don't. Unless in wait mode, you should be able to enter it and it'll work immediately

Thanks guys.

Funny - I do think it was (is) the 1% scenario. Went back looking through files and found what I think is the right radio card. Different code than what I was using. When I typed that up last night - I didn't realize (forgot) I had input the wrong code in a few times (again) so then when I went to go put in the "new" code I realized that radio actually was in WAIT - (I've been screwing around with this for a week)...That probably makes no sense...

Anyway point is now its in WAIT and I'll try this new code when it lets me - weather here is not that great and then I'm going out of town so it may be a few days before I even drive the car....

^^^Now write that code in your car's white option sticker under your hood.
