Looking to get rid of my old amber headlights on my 2001 Boxster and was wondering if a 2004 clear Head light will fit?

'97 - '04 are all the same. If it looks the same, then it is. In 2005, the headlights changed to the newer style.

These fit into the fenders of my '01, however there is a gap between the lower portion where the headlight meets the top of the bumper. Also, when installed, the fog lights are very dim and the turn signal flashes very irregular and fast....

So the facelift that was done in 2003 uses (minutely) different front headlights? I thought it was just the lower front spoiler, rear splitter??
