Default Interior temp sensor

Hi there. It's been a while since I was last on here. We now have 2 porsche in the household! My 993 C2S and a Boxster S - 2004 model.

Boxster serviced today and the interior temperature sensor is not working. It shows as reading 41 degrees C. The other sensor appears to work and change when the temp is altered.

I see there are two temperature sensors in the cabin - does anyone know which one is the 'interior sensor'.

Many thanks!

Bob

My understanding is there is one behind the circular grill on the passenger side of the cabin. There's rumored to be a small fan that circulates cabin air over this sensor which feeds a reading to the heater/AC. Now it may only be in cars equipped with auto climate control (as both of my Porsches are).

There are other temp sensors in the HVAC system -- on the air flow/control doors/flaps inside the system -- but again they may only exist in the auto climate system.
