Default Missing part on transmission. HELP

Hi all, got a 99 boxster that has shifting problem. Got the car towed to my friends shop and found something missing (dropped somewhere) on the transmission. The problem I am having is the car wont shift into 1st or 2nd. All other gears seems funny as well. My friends believes there should be a bolt there and it should connect/hold onto the shifter linkage inside the transmission.

Picture at the bottom. This is the right side btw. I believe it is number 14 on the parts diagram, but dealer said that is for the reverse. And the parts guy said he thinks it is #16. Problem is either parts is not stocked inside the country and it will take 2 weeks to bring it in, so I hope to get it right the first time.

#14. Some sort of transmission fulcrum pin (not sure what they're really called). Almost all of them were made of Aluminum and are prone to failure (espically with track use).
