Oil Cooler

I have moved to tracking a Boxster S ( a different one, and kept my RSR as well).
I added a deep sump and baffle. Running Amsoil 20/50.
I have added Oil Pressure and Oil Temperature senders but I have not added the gauges yet.
I have not been running in extremely hot temperatures yet. Last run was Memorial Day weekend and
temps were in upper 80's/low 90's --- I did not observe any coolant temperature issues, but I realize the OEM gauge is imprecise.
I need to get my gauges installed and then get back to the track and observe temperatures and pressures. Then I can look to see if I want to add an additional cooler (which I suspect I will).

I have been tracking my 02 Boxster S for probably 5 years now almost year round, mostly at Sebring. Translation hundreds if not thousands of laps in brutally hot conditions. The engine runs like a Swiss watch with no cooling mods. I have over 90k miles on it. None of those run sessions extended beyond 30-40 minutes. Perhaps if I had been driving longer sessions it would have fared worse?
One anecdote may not be that meaningful but I thought I'd share.

I'm considering selling my RSR and moving towards running my Boxster S
as my track car that I can drive to/from events.
I've come to the conclusion that keeping the oil cool(er) is
one of the best ways to help tracked engines.
Has anyone added an oil cooler to the car?
If so == where did you connect it in and where did you put it?
I don't think an accusump alone is sufficient.
thanks,

Good luck. Boxsters are a ton of fun on the track!!
