Oil sump baffle with lowered & enlarged oil drainback windows. Also shown magnetic drain plug & air seperators (swirl pots)

Nice work! Someone is going to be very happy with this engine I am certain. Did you rework those oil windows yourself or did you order an OTS OEM part like for a GT2/X51 or something.

That's the original baffle with the oil passage openings lowered & enlarged with a dremel to increase flow in to pickup area.

In the middle of my first rebuild myself.

Any recommendations on getting rid of the oxidized externals of the engine?

Any mild acid, maybe?

You have to be carefull the aluminum has copper & silicon in it. Try simple green & hot water 1st with a stainless brush. Just about anything that stays on it long will turn it grey.
