I just got my '01 986S back from having some work done and now the radio won't come on. Apparently the battery was removed but instead of the radio display showing "CODE" when I press the ON button, it does nothing. The fuses appear to be fine so I'm not sure what else it could be. Any ideas?

You need to re-enter the 4-digit security code.

Hopefully you still have the little card that came with the car that contains the code. The procedure is in the owner's manual supplement for the radio.

They probably jump started car and fuse on back of radio is blown

This turned out to be the problem, but instead of the fuse blowing because of a jump start, I think it occurred when the car's battery was reinstalled. Easy fix! Thanks for the suggestion.

And the battery was probably installed backwards at first due to not paying attention to which side was positive/negative. (This happened to me)
