Default factory hardtop weight? stock and gutted?
anyone know how light you can make a factory hardtop?
or know of a lightweight aftermarket unit that is easy to put on / take off?

do not know of the weight but all the racers are going with these

they should have the weight savings of each of the componets so you can figure the $ / lb savings of CF vs fiberglass.

I wouldnt say "all the racers" are. Mine was custom built by Kenny Shrieves at Werkstatt in Charllotsville Va. I believe it weighs somewhere in the 10lbs range and is made from fiberglass and carbon fiber.
