Default Considering this '98 boxster. All input would be great.

My wife has been interested in getting into something a bit more sporty (convertible), and we came across this boxster on autotrader.

1998 Boxster

we test drove a couple boxsters locally. She test drove a tip first and it almost turned her against boxsters all to gether but then we found a manual to test and it restored her interest. She's driven a 2.5 and an S and was satisfied with either. She really likes the hard top option as well.

We of course would have a PPI done prior to purchase.

Any and all input would be greatly appreciated.

Nice looking car. If maintenance is up to date and the PPI is favorable, i would make an offer.

$12900 is probably a bit rich. I would start at $10K and see what happens.

If she likes the Hardtop, have a look at a Cayman.

I kinda expect for a 1998 that 13k is way too much for it.

I see 2000's go for that price quite often with comparative mileage.

Thanks for the replies. So initially it seems like price needs to be discussed.

As for the Cayman, She definately wants a convertible, so that is ruled out. She likes the idea of the hardtop option with the convertible.

Thanks, and keep the info coming.
