Default Any other 986 forums?

Trying to learn as much as I can about the 986 and there doesn't seem to be much activity on this forum so I assume there are other forums the 986 owners frequent?

Thanks so much!

Porsche Pete's Boxster Board and Renntech are two other good 986 forums:

Dell,

Boxsterspec.com is the best resource, Both cars we raced at VIR are for sale and a roller with cage you could complete.

Thanks Scott. I'm not sure what a "roller with cage" is. Could you elaborate?

I saw one of your cars in garage #2 (?) if I remember correctly but I didn't see the other one.

Dell,
Both cars are white and the second one was outside by the enclosed trailer across from garage #2. Kenny is welding in a cage now into our third car. I will sell it as a roller with cage, fiberglass roof with quick disconnect (custom made), all gutted, transmission and no engine. We could finish it for you or drop it at Gregs and let him do the work. The more we get out there the better. I believe Carey may hit member day next weekend with me to test one of the white cars out, if you want to check it out let me know.

Some other good ones for DIY stuff:
http://www.pedrosgarage.com/Site/DIY%20Projects.html
http://www.bombaydigital.com/boxster/projects/

6Speed has more volume on people posting mods as well Dell.

I agree that Boxsterspec is a great resource even if you're not going to do SPBOX racing. As a side note Dell, I set up my 986 based on the BSX format for SPBOX which is essentially:
Brey Krause roll bar extension, hard top, Bilstein PSS9, GT3 front sway, Tarett rear sway, adjustable F/R drop links. I have a spare set of rims with R888s on but haven't tried them yet (still on PS2 now).
I equipped my car with 6-GT3 seats/harnesses, Sharkwerks Fire Ext, Fabspeed exhaust (just for the fun of it).

I am at Mont Tremblant RIGHT NOW with the car and despite 2 spins in the rain today, I can say that I think this car easily outhandles my 997TT. Not so great on the power side but I'm doing well with the car and it is A BLAST TO DRIVE!

Scott, I'll talk to Greg this week and have him get in touch with you. Thanks again!

....and yes, I agree, we need to get more out there. This is one of the main reasons I am choosing SPBOX. I honestly believe it has the potential to be a fantastic class out here on the right coast.

Yeah the rain line would have come in handy!

The first spin was between 11-12 and was a 360 on track.
The second spin was out of 6 and was a 720 with 2 wheels off the whole time. Dropped it back in 2nd when the car was pointed the right way and off we went. I had Jay Gratton riding along with me and fortunately there was no impact and neither one of us had a laundry problem.
