How many computers under drivers seat ?
This a 2000 Porsche Boxter Manual trans there is one listed 996.618.260.07
Is there another or only one ? this one got wet . How I am not sure > are there drains for the top that are clogged?
Also would this cause the top not to work and the windows, door locks to be inop ? I am thinking so if this is the alarm box ?? And when you buy another how do you program the key to the box ??
So what is this part number 996.618.260.03 and where is that located. Thanks

That is the alarm module. If it got wet enough to fail, it also burnt out the door actuators, trunk (front and rear) and fuel cap lock actuators.
You HAVE to fix all the lock issues before replacing the alarm module.
It needs dealer reprogramming becasue they have the codes.
Fix the water leak first !!!!!!!
986 618 260 03 Central locking without alarm
986 618 260 07 Central lockign with alarm/anti-drive off feature

If you use the one without the anti-drive off does that effectively remove drive block? Or does that require a DME change too? The reason I ask is that I'm building a spec car and if there's a way to remove the drive block I'm interested.
