Default RWHP for Stock Boxster

Anyone have any good dyno numbers for rear wheel HP for different Boxster models and years from '96 thru '08 and for the Boxster S from 2000 to 2005 in the stock configurattion?

Or what the typical HP drop is from the Factory reported flywheel HP to the rear wheels for a Boxster and Boxster S.

Thanks.

making changes and noting gain/loss of HP from changes.

Advertised HP numbers (published by factory) are better. RWHP will of course reflect whatever HP at flywheel factory posts.

Roughly, drivetrain accounts for 15% loss from flywheel to rear wheels. But transmission types (manual vs. auto (slush box) and efficiency of drivetrain affects this some as well. (Also, how well the car is attached/held in place on dyno. In some cases if rear end pulled down too much this causes deflection of the half shafts and this deflection extracts a HP penalty. Ideally, the halfshafts want to be parallel to the ground so the losses from the halfshaft constant velocity joints/bearings is minimal.)

Several UK car mags devoted to Porsches run a section on all Porsche models, including Boxsters, every month listing among other things the HP numbers (factory numbers). This is a good reference to see/compare year to year HP increases.

Sincerely,

Macster.

Several of our 2.5 cars have dyno'd in the mid-180s at the wheels. Mine was 187.
