Question Acoustical Acceleration Environment?

I am wondering, do other Boxster owners have a particular favorite song that they play when driving the car hard through the twisties?

I tried this on the track the last time out, but found the music to be distracting as well as the CD player was skipping with the punishment I was giving the car.

However, on the street on deserted back roads and local fun twisties I find myself playing some tunes repeatedly during these situations. My two most often played are:

Red Barchetta - Rush
Driven - Rush

But then again, I'm a RUSH fan, see my website:
<a href="http://www.smiley.net/rushtour.htm" target="_blank">http://www.smiley.net/rushtour.htm</a> for more details.

Anyway, I'm just wondering if there are other particularly good "twisty songs" that others would like to share so I can toss them into the CD player sometime and give them a whirl.

Oh, one other that was fun for awhile was the Mission Impossible 2 theme from the movie soundtrack... hmmmmm maybe the new Bond movie will have a good cut....

Looking forward to your recommendations!

I like to crank up a little Puddle of Mud. The new Chili Peppers is invigorating also!

You like Rush?! Try some Billy Idol (am I dating myself, here?) for a similar effect ... particularly 'White Wedding' and 'Rebel Yell!'

Also, you Americans may not be as familiar with the Tragically Hip as we are up north, but they have some great driving tunes, too. Not as raucous as Rush or Billy Idol, but 'driving' rhythms, just the same.

Sex Pistols!

And Massive Attack (albums Mezzanine or Blue lines) for just plain old cruising at lower speeds.

BTW, I drive a 944.. Like the Boxster though, hope it will get a turbo engine soon. It deserves it.

Oh my GOD!!! I am the biggest Rush fan ever. You've definitely made me a very jealous person. Red Barchetta all the way....

My favorite is 4K - 7K. That's all I play going through the twisties everything else is distracting.

For long country roads I like 3K awesome and to 4K incredible.
