What size on 17 inch wheels are you using for autocross? And what type? I was thinking Kumho victor racer with 265 in back and 225 in front...but may be too big. What do you think?

On the stock 17" Boxster wheels (7" & 8.5"), I wouldn't go any bigger than 225 and 255.

The hot setup for a Boxster with 17" kumho victorracers is either 245/255 or 255 all around. They are faster than a 225/255 combo. It's been tested. I know in "theory" the 245 or 255's are too wide for a 7" rim, but in practice, they work fine and are faster than the 225's.

Don't get the Ecsta V700's. They are slower and wear faster than the victoracers. They are supposed to change the compound in the Ecsta's, but there is conflicting info on if it has happened or not. Even then, it may not be any faster.

Hope this helps.

Bill
