Boxster is halfway home!
My parents are halfway to owning a '00 midnight blue metallic boxster with 7k miles on it. It passed the PPI with flying colors today..all we have to do is pay for it and all the usual stuff and bring it home. It needs an oil change, brake fluid flush and the mech recommended changing the transmission fluid (thoughts?).
We've had the car since 2pm and my parents left not too long ago to drop it off.
My driving impression: It certaintly doesn't have the power that my car does...although the low end torque power is amazing compared to my little 4 banger. It handles great and it's not obvious that you're going fast as I feel that it is in my car...maybe its just because I've had my car for 11 months and I know what to expect.
The S must be awesome but at $40-$45k for a used one it was just too pricey.
Here's some pics...will get more once we have the car and can do an all out photoshoot of the 2 Porsche's!! <img src="graemlins/jumper.gif" border="0" alt="[jumper]" />
Btw, the 951 and the boxster will both get to sleep in the garage.
