34HP Gain with Fabspeed?
Hi,
I just recently acquired a pre-owned Boxster S. The previous owner had Fabspeed headers and exhaust put on the car, which can be clearly heard and felt, plus I have a copy of the invoice.
I decided to do a little research and found wording on their website indicating a 34HP gain could be had with the exhaust, header, and tuning. Is there some way, short of trying to track down the original owner, I could determine whether all the "tuning" work was done to get the power gains discussed? Also, does anyone have any idea what 1/4 mile times this car should have if it has been tuned? 0-60MPH times?
Thanks!! BTW, the Board looks great!!

Bill,
Try contacting Joe Fabiani at Fabspeed. The url is http://www.fabspeed.com and his number is (215) 646-4945. I'm sure he can answer all of your questions.
BTW, Congrats on the purchase!

working with base figures for a standard car of:
0-60 = 5.7
1/4 = 14.2 @ 95.9mph
my calculator shows that the 34hp increase should give:
0-60 = 5.3
1/4 = 13.65 @ 99.6mph
take it for what it is worth.....
I have included the calculation & actual time slip for my 2.5
cheers
