Default This Girl Conquered the MAF Sensor!

Just like the title says I conquered the MAF Sensor. My car had been getting the typical CEL readings. I first tried cleaning it per these FANTASTIC online instructions (not affiliated)...

http://mike.focke.googlepages.com/ch...sairflowsensor

But that actually made my running car (albeit with CEL) not run right at all!!!!!

So I ordered the part from one of our Rennlist vendors and it came just on time. Installed it over the weekend and voila!

It amazes me that htis 10 minute part replacement would have cost me over $700 at the dealer. $300 for the part and expidited shipping and ten minutes of my time out in the sunshine with my car.

WOOHOO!

Melissa

Nope, did my research. Put in the old style w/o E gas that is for my model year Boxster. The exact part I took out.

after being screwed by a "foreign car speciallist" that charged Between 3 and$400 without fixing my problem, I too tackeld mine. I remover and cleaned my MAF, and removed and cleaned the O2 sensors. Problem solved. I consider the money spent at the crooked garge as a lesson learned. I can do anything that the moron that calls himself a mechanic can. PS they tried to get me for $1200 more on un needed work! DO It YOURSELF!! Oh, and by the way YOU GO GIRL!
