That's what I used. Ugly, but functional.

As soon as it starts thawing around here I'll get back to work on getting rid of my exhaust's drone. But it isn't going to be easy.

I am dying to hear this! You still have the cats right? Do you have any idea on weight?

Yes, I still have the cats on it. I actually took it off for the winter, because I care about my hearing, and the droning gets old with the windows and top up.

As for weight, it's probably not much better than the stock exhaust, but I can get a number for you this weekend.

And I don't have any way to record the sound at this point, so if you come to Charlotte for Porsche Parade in June, give me a call.

if you still have the secondary cats, you may want to put another pair glasspack in their place. That may help with droning.

unfortunately, I can't delete the cats due to emissions, but that is an idea.

It is going to be LAH. I would be surprised if you will be able to carry on a conversation below 3200 RPMs even with yourself. . I commend your effort though. I have built headers and exhaust for aircraft, but noise was not a real issue. Now if you could legally wear an active noise canceling head set that would be the ticket. It is very hard to get just the right amount of sound and performance and has in fact become quite a science. If its just performance, then flow and back pressure are you only real considerations other that fit. . I have seen some beautiful works of art that worked for carp and some crap that worked beautifully. Good luck with the project.

It's official....all dual muffler exhaust resonate.

Just put the top down and cruise. You won't even notice it's there.

I agree with the first part but disagree with the second part.

I had to sell my custom two-muffler exhaust. I happily wear earplugs when riding my motorcycle, but I am not interested in doing so when driving the car. Just way too loud, top up or down.
