While doing installing my Cd Changer
I was installing my cd changer and notice a clear rubber hose just hanging out not attached to anything. When you remove the battery to snake the wire through the firewall for the cd changer cable the hose is near the left almost attaching it to something on the passenger side. Any one have a clue what it is. It has a like a black elbow shape piece of plastic at the end of it.

The original Moll battery had the clear vent tube attached directly to the passenger side of the battery. On the Interstate the vent is in the rear. The battery is supposed to come with a black rubber tube and a plastic adapter so that you can hook up to the clear tube. The 2 parts are supposed to come with the battery, but sometime they do not get put in.
Without a picture I would guess that the vent tube was not hooked up when the Interstate was put in.

I'd buy/find the adapter and connect the tube just so acid doesn't drip all over, while it won't eat through the frame it's damned corrosive stuff that shouldn't be sitting on steel, to me that would be worth the cost of a new battery
