My commute is 70 miles roundtrip, and I wouldn't want to do it in any other car

Hey take that back! I bought mine for my 18th Birthday present to myself(October 20th 2005),and this coming Friday I turn 19...So that means I will have had the car for a year come Friday. I feel a 100 mile cruise or so is in line.

Hay unklekraker,

I get that blank stare from a lot of other Porsche owners where I live, you know, the
ones that have to own the current model in the dealership, and if you don’t own it, well your just a poser.

No problem they buy them for the status and I own them for the engineering.

Really feel sorry for the front engine owners though, I heard it is really brutal for them...

Having owned many front engined Porsche I never cared what anyone thought, They are great cars.
Even the guys with old 911's seemed to look down on them, their loss.

I don't know what was more annoying with the waving world the Jeeps or the VWs I've owned! I've owned several wranglers and several Vanagon/Westfalias. As much as I like online communities I'm just not interested in waving at every run of the mill Jeep I pass nor talk to every single person who comes to see my Westfalia in a parking lot.

There used to be a time when Jeeps, Vw and Porsches were rather unique but now anyone and everyone has them and a good percentage of the people are NOT worth waving or talking to about your hobbie. That is why I'm online as you can find those who share the interest...

I love my cars but they are for me...I'm not obsessed with the community and interest in the real world 24/7. Therefore sometimes I get sick of waving and sometimes I just think it's silly...because it's just a car!

Bottom line for me?

Some of us don't like to wave and it has nothing to do with "how cool" we think we are.

I keep this: DLTBWYD.... taped to my computer monitor. It stands for "Don't Let The Bastards Wear You Down".

Interesting side note, I drive alot of GM cars due tp some consulting I do, I have Corvettes all the time and it seems Corvette owners almost ALWAYS wave at each other.
When I drive a Z06 they virtually stalk me.

67' Corvette Stingray and/or 70' Mach 1Fastback Mustangs or 70' Cuda'/Challenger are still in my favorite car to get before I get old list...

That's your insurance agent stalking you...
