IF YOU WORE OUT YOUR BRAKE PADS PAST THE 25% TWICE YOU MUST HAVE PUT 80K MILES ON THE CAR.

I respectfully disagree. Operations and marketing are two entirely different fields. Porsche streamlined the efficiency of their production processes with the help of Japanese consultants. That has nothing to do with "marketing strategy".

I do pretty much agree with the rest of your latest post though.

what about the fact that the sensors stopped working and I had no idea the breaks were being worn down? another genius design by the retards.

Let's give you the benefit of the doubt for a minute and assume this is true... How do you explain the excessive wear? Going through 75% of your pads in 1 year?! You must drive around with one foot on the gas and one foot on the brake.

And how do you explain going through 3 or 4 sets of tires in 2 years?

That's funny... When I wrote that, that's exactly what I was thinking! I almost said, "As my good friend Sammy once said..."

who said anything about the wires getting cut? the fuse that lights up the "warning light" may have been blown.. regardless of what it was, I never saw any warning light.. I drive around 1800 miles a month..

I'm not specifically looking at the break issue (even though I did end up spending $1987.00 two days ago for THAT and the 02 sensor), I'm talking about every one of these problems including the blown engine and everything else.. I'm just wondering why Porsche seemed to half-*** these Boxsters and then not stand behind their mistake?

by the way, I'm 24..

Just curious... why did your rotors fail twice?

And how many miles did you get on one set of tires? Do you drive 40,000 miles per year??
well as you can see from the picture, I do have 19" wheels so the tires are a little more expensive.. I go through rear tires every 7-8 months or so..

the reason why the engine replacement was a little more expensive is because its a Boxster S engine with a reprogrammed ECU..

i just reaaaally reaaaally wish I would have spent an extra $5000 when I bought the car and went with an 02 or an 03... I don't think I would have been running into nearly as many problems..

Theres no fuse its a hard wired deal that system has been the same for 25 years and ive never heard of one failure
if you drive enough miles to wear out 2 sets of brakes maybe everything else was just old and worn out too. Or trhe PO didnt care for the car thats not porsche fault

Well here's the result, regardless of whether this hasn't happened in a thousand years..

My break pads wore down, enough to ruin the rotors. I didn't see any warning light AT ALL. Maybe my "bulletproof boxster" has a ***** in its' armor? no no that isn't possible, it couldnt be another Porsche malfunction..
