Default RMS on 2005 Boxsters?

Any reports of the RMS problem on a 2005 Boxster or Boxster S yet? Just curious...

...don't know, but what I do know is this...since march of '04 the rear case bolts and intermediate shaft bolts are the epoxy coated ones used in the updated TSB fix for the leaking RMSs...mine was repaired on my '04 550 SE which was built PRIOR to March '04....

So it would be interesting to know if anyone has had an RMS issue on any car built after March '04..

I have not seen a report. It has happened on the 997. The 997s have been out longer than the 987s. Since the 987 came out just 2 months ago it think it is just a matter of time. The 997/987 use the same seal.

The bolts mentioned by Dennis are not related to the seal. Oil was sometimes leaking from bolt holes so Porsche started using a sealant on the bolts.

Berny in England who has a 996 has has 6 replacement seals. At the time of the 6th replacement these new bolts were put in. It is leaking again. No way to know for sure where it is leaking from unless the transmission is pulled.

As far as I can tell it had to do with the clear film bra stuff people put on their cars. And an install party.
