Hi,

It looks like Boxster's are 5x130. Would it be possible to change it to 5x120? Is too much involved and will it affect my performance?

I have some wheels that I want to put on or should I just get different wheels?

You would have to find someone to fabricate you some custom wheel hubs--in addition to taking a good part of the suspension apart. I don't know if these could even be fabricated (or trusted). Unless you have some $10K wheels that you want to use, get new wheels. The Porsche factory parts cost about as much as wheels and your car will be a "lemon" if you ever try to sell it. You'll need a 5x120 spare as well.

there are hundreds of wheels that will fit. Swap what you have for correct ones rather than messing with the car.

They're my 04 M3 19" option wheels wheels. I would have taken off the BMW logo of course.

Anyone been successful installing any other stock wheels from another car in stock height? Not that I want to do it, but just curious. I know not just any 5x130 would fit, it would have to have the right offset.

Those are ugly wheels and won't look good on a Boxster anyway.

Yes, you can. Cost is approximately 150-200 for the set. Check out rbwheels.com. You'll want to double check inner/outer diameter of hub (you'll need hubcentric rings) and offset.

the Bimmers also use a 12mm stud/bolt instead of the 14mm that the Porsche's use. Buy different wheels that actually fit.

where are you located. I have several sets of porsche wheels , 17s and 18s. I need an extra set of BMW E46 M3 wheels and would be willing to do a swap if we are anywhere close.

I don't know about that guy, buy I am in North Atlanta and have some extra E46M3 wheels that I would swap for some 986S wheels - what do you have?
