RUF Boxster Supercharger
Hey guys. I spent the day at Ruf Dallas today and talked to Alois Ruf as much as I could.
He has a Boxster and 996/997 supercharger ready to go. It has been in testing with the magazines. I don't have any figures or cost. Only that it is Ruf and ready... |
I'd love to hear some more about the Boxster supercharger - where can we get more info? Do you have contact info from the Dallas shop you wouldn't mind sharing?
EDIT - never mind, I found it. For anyone else that's interested: RUF Center in Dallas |

Did you by chance find out what type of blower they are using? I would be interested in one myself. I kinda question them supercharging since they have the 3400/3600s conversions and soon 3800s conversion  |
I just called up there and the fella that answered, Hans, said there's only a 996 supercharger. He said there might be a Boxster supercharger somewhere down the line but not right now. Was it Mr. Ruf that said he had a Boxster supercharger coming? Maybe the word didn't flow downhill yet?

Oh well, still the fact that they do such a great job with their conversions is well enough. I was just guessing the supercharger would be a much cheaper solution for a modest gain in power. Thanks for checking. :bigbye: |
Ooops. Maybe I wasn't supposed to say that about the Boxster. There was a lot of "you're the first ones to see this" pics and ifo being shown and talked about...

I would guess these guys would have one in the works:

I can't wait to hear details of the 3.8L Boxster conversion. That will be the ultimate!
When the appropriate time comes, my S may be headed for Ruf-land. |
