Default Dead battery woes resolved

PSA:
This may not be important to most, but hope it helps someone.

I had the deadest of dead batteries in my 01 Box 2.7. I mean that sucker was flat-line.
Tried every trick in the book to get the dang frunk popped (9V battery>2 different trickle chargers>regular charger>regular 12V battery>jump from running car) over the course of about 3 weeks. NOTHING worked and I was getting desperate.
Saw on the YT about hooking a 12V battery with a little voltage in it to get some juice flowing to the dead car, then hooking the regular charger to that feeder 12V battery.
I did it, then heard something click then there was enough juice to activate the frunk release! It had 10.5 volts which I guess wasn't enough to make anything happen. I didn't have any voltage at the emergency release. After about 1 hour it started.

If the voltage is too low the new smart chargers won't see anything as connected so they won't turn on to charge.

Typical of many chargers/maintainers.

To keep mine charged I was fortunate to have a car that would charge through the cigarette lighter port so I used a maintainer hooked that way any time I expected to not use the car for any significant lenght of time. Of course the whole point of these cars is to enjoy and use them so that really only happened on business trips or in the winter.
