99 tiptronic stiff gear shifting
99 boxster with about 54k on it.
Shifting to drive or park is stiff, sticky, and just not smooth. You have to slightly force it in to position for the dashboard to register what you are doing. I had this same issue a few years ago. I took it to the Porsche dealership and they replaced a cable, and some other parts in the gearbox. Cost me a thousand bucks. It had gotten so bad that time that I couldn't even get the car to register that it was in park, and it wouldn't turn on.
What is going on here? 2 years after the repair and less than 10k miles put on it I wasn't expecting to have this issue again. And honestly this car is begging to get to expensive to maintain, I'm getting very frustrated, I hope someone here has some answers. I'd at least like to know why this keeps happening to my car and know if there is something I am doing to cause it.
